It was with enormous sadness that I learned of the passing of your husband, Vadim Albertovich Elizarov.

I and my son and heir, Grand Duke George of Russia, extend our deepest condolences to you, your children, all your family and friends, and his many colleagues.

Vadim Albertovich worked earnestly to preserve and advance Russia’s long tradition of dance. His efforts constitute a significant contribution to the treasury of our country’s culture, a culture that has with his passing suffered an irreparable loss. The memory of this talented and famous figure in our nation’s cultural life will remain forever in our hearts.

May the Lord grant rest to the soul of His servant Vadim in the abode of the righteous.
