The Head of the House of Romanoff Becomes the Patron of the St. Andrew’s Cadet Corps

On November 30/December 13, 2013, on the Feast Day of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called, the Head of the Russian Imperial House, H.I.H. Grand Duchess Maria of Russia, accepted the request of Archpriest Victor Ushatov, the rector of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius Cathedral in the city of Samara and Head Master of the St. Andrew’s Cadet Corps, which is located organizationally under the auspices of the Cathedral, to become the patron of the St. Andrew’s Cadet Corps. Archpriest Victor’s request enjoyed the full support and blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Sergei of Samara and Syzran.
