The Head of the Imperial House of Russia, H.I.H. The Grand Duchess Maria of Russia, and her heir, H.I.H. The Tsesarevich and Grand Duke George of Russia, were greatly saddened to learn of the death of the rector of the Church of the Intercession of the Mother of God in Izmailovo, Archpriest Vladimir Bushuev (1952-2020). Fr. Vladimir many times welcomed the Grand Duchess to the Church of the Intercession with love and respect, and the knights of the Imperial Military Order of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and other Imperial and Royal Orders often participate in services and other events in the parish. For his service to the Church, the Grand Duchess awarded Archpriest Vladimir Bushuev the Imperial Order of St. Anna II Class.
Their Imperial Highnesses pray for the repose of the soul of the newly reposed pastor, and extend their deepest condolences to his family, to Patriarch Kirill I of Moscow and All Russia, to all those who served with him in the Church of the Intercession, and to all his spiritual children.
May the Lord grant eternal rest to his newly reposed servant, Archpriest Vladimir, and may his memory be eternal!
